May/June
It is amazing how much progress the students have made this year!  Many came in not knowing the alphabet and now they are confident readers.  They have worked so hard and had a lot of fun along the way.  Here are some important tips for summer learning fun.  Firstly, make sure they spend plenty of time outside playing.  Have them count while they jump rope or have a sight word treasure hunt in the yard.  They can build a tent with chairs and a blanket, make a fake campfire, and read stories to the family.  When it is too hot outdoors, let them create their own restaurant inside.  They can write out a simple menu and read it to you.  Have them explain what they are making to build vocabulary skills.  When it is time to pay the check, practice counting items, adding, and subtracting.  Your child will have so much fun and continue reinforcing skills at the same time!

Don't forget to check our group emails and Classdojo for important information.

Our class lines up by the ramp at our trailer at 8:30 a.m.  On half days, the pick-up time is 1:00.  On full days, the pick-up time is 2:40.  If someone special is picking up your child, please send me a note or email as soon as possible.
